Recorder Journal

Weekly Recorder Journal Assessment

Dear Students,

Playing recorder is a fun and rewarding experience which I hope you enjoy. To do your very best you should practice 10 minutes a day, five days a week. If you do, you will quickly learn a lot of songs and learn a lot about music.

Weekly recorder journals are due on the first music class each week. The journal must be written in a standard size notebook used exclusively for music and entries must be in paragraph form.

Your journal entries must include information on what you practiced, amount of time practiced, and some information about your musical progress. Any personal comments or events you’d like to tell me about are also always welcome. I enjoy reading about how things are going for you. You only need one entry for the entire week.

Below are the criteria I will use for grading your journals. Please read them over carefully and follow them as well as you can to get full credit each week.

                                                                   Sincerely,

                                                                   Mrs. Petergal
