Present completed silent movie to class.
Directions:
· Form Groups.
· Choose a story topic or a short story
· Outline story, including 5 scene, mood, or action changes.
· Write out complete story with each character’s actions detailed. (If you are using a short story by a professional author you will need to assign characters and edit the story to fit our format.)
· Choose music for each scene. The music you choose cannot have any singing or rap. It must be instrumental.
· Rehearse and film. This works best if you film with the music playing or if you add the music to your videotape through editing and audio input. Do not use a separate audiocassette for your presentation.
· All videos must be on a full size VHS tape or in an adapter cassette, CD, or DVD. Do not bring in the Video Camera.
· Plan on at least two days for filming and at least one day for editing. Give yourselves time to look at your final product and fix problems before you hand it in.
Possible story types are mysteries, comedies, sci-fi, drama.
*Stories about drugs, gangs, or massacres are not acceptable.
